The risk perceived from the existence of natural
phenomena turned into disasters, can represent
serious physical, social and economic consequences
for the tourist destinations that face it, since in
addition to the possible damages in infrastructures
or surroundings, there is the possibility that they
suffer the cancellation of previously booked events,
the cancellation of visits / reservations or be
affected by the term of loyalty relations with the
tourist. This has led us to the analysis of the
perceived risk that natural disasters generate in
tourists who visit a destination with a complex
interaction that involves their geographic location,
human settlements and the natural environment,
contributing to the natural phenomena becoming
frequent and become disasters Acapulco is the
destination considered in this study. Based on the
theory of Marketing and from the perspective of
demand, the present study seeks to analyze the
relationship between the risk perceived by natural
disasters and the loyalty of tourists who visit a
destination.
