Abstract

Environmental problems, in addition to complex
ones, are dynamic. In order to face them it is
necessary the collective participation of the society
in the search of strategies and concrete actions
oriented to the rational use of the resources, to
achieve a sustainable development. This poses
challenges for integrating environmental concerns
into the educational sphere,
incorporating
environmental approach in their curriculum.
Transversality is a strategy to address these issues,
articulating the subjects, in the search for a
comprehensive training. This work was done in
2016. The objective was to diagnose the presence of
environmental axis in the curriculum of the Degree
in Accounting of UAGro. It was a quantitative and
descriptive study, a survey was applied to 17
teachers. The results show the poor linkage of the
components of the environmental axis with UAp
and the absence of the environmental dimension in
the curriculum. Transversalise the curriculum
towards sustainability is the best way for students to
have a training with competency (Knowledge,
abilities, skills, and values) to face the problems that
afflict our planet.
