Abstract

This article describes the design and development
of the information management and control system
database for hospitals that care for COVID-19
patients, whose purpose is to store a large amount
of data and information on the processes carried
out around patients diagnosed with this disease.
Derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, the need
arose to optimize daily processes in order to
safeguard the integrity of citizens due to the risk of
contagion by the disease in the health sector. For
which, the implementation of Information and
Communication Technologies (ICT) continues to
be one of the greatest challenges in health
organizations because they lack their application in
some of these activities related to the problem of
the pandemic. In this work, requirements and use
of design program applications were defined that
allowed the realization of preliminary diagrams to
carry out the coding of the information
management and control system for hospitals
through the MySQL database manager.
