Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the
learning strategies used by university students in the
undergraduate program in Public Accounting
dependent on the Universidad Autonoma de
Guerrero (UAGro); The non-probabilistic sample
was 175 students, of which 53.7% were women.
The design was non-experimental, transverse,
descriptive type. The average of the Scale of Use of
Learning Strategies in University Students was 43.
We found that the highest means were obtained by
the dimensions 1, which refers to the use of
strategies to investigate previous knowledge (M =
50) and dimension 4, related to the use of
technology-mediated learning strategies with (M =
49). On the contrary, the dimension 3, group
strategies, was the one that obtained the lowest
mean (M = 31). We concluded that there is a current
tendency to use the strategies of learning from the
traditional approach above the average of use of
strategies that reinforce to the approach by
competences, although the differences are observed
minimum.
