Abstract

The objective of this project is to dimension and
build the prototype (CSLF), to challenge the energy
saving of gas L: P: or natural gas, to heat water and
generate steam, which is integrated by a horizontal
concentrator of 10.5 m2 with 6 mirrors of 0.48 x
2.50 m and a second inverted CPC Compound
Parabolic Concentrator, located at 4 m in height,
with an absorber focus of three 1.27 cm pipes with
matt black chromed copper fins. The process of
heating water, consists of concentrating the solar
rays, to be reflected by the curvature of the first
concentrator. This reflection is shown in each
mirror, as an absorber, due to the different
reflections of the sun's trajectory, because they
diminish at a greater distance. The results are
experimental at 890 W / m2 irradiance, but the
ASHRAE standard is 830 W / m2. Where this value
is acceptable and the inlet and outlet temperature
increases of 32 and 85 ° C, respectively. In
exchange for this effort, energy, economic and
environmental benefits are obtained, in terms of
dissemination policies, training of human resources
and, above all, energy self-sufficiency is fostered.
