Abstract

The present work is focused on analyzing the
physical and mechanical properties of the ceramic
pieces of red brick that are used in the construction
of the typical house in the region, which consists of
2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, concrete slab, fences and
most of the buildings that exist in the municipality,
etc., the bank from which the material was extracted
for the elaboration of these pieces is located in the
municipality of Técpan de Galeana, Guerrero, the
pieces are made with clay sand, and water, are
cooked in a traditional oven. The partitions were
subjected to tests of simple compression, absorption
and modulus of rupture (flexion), the mortars that
were used for the manufacture of the piles are type I
and type II, the materials that were used are
Portland cement type CPR- According to Tolteca,
this type of cement is regularly used in the region
for construction, water, and sand extracted from the
"Corinto" bank located in that locality, a real
proportion used on site for mortars, these cells were
