Abstract

Pestalotiopsis sp. is one of the pathogens with more
presence in the mamey crop in the municipality of
Cuetzala del Progreso Gro. The objectives of the
present investigation were to identify, by means of
morphological and pathogenic characteristics to the
pathogen associated to the leaf blight in the Mamey
crop, besides proving in vitro conditions the
biologic effectiveness of strains of Trichoderma
spp. Morphologically, Pestalotiopsis sp. as a
mamey leaf pathogen. Isolation was determined to
be pathogenic because it causes symptoms on
mamey leaves. All species Trichoderma spp.,
Present fungistatic effect on Pestalotiopsis sp. The
native strain from Cuetzala recorded the lowest
growth of the pathogen and the highest inhibition in
in vitro conditions.
