Cobertura del programa social Pensión Guerrero en Chilpancingo de los Bravo, Guerrero, (2018- 2019)

Abstract

In Mexico and the world there is considerable
demographic change that will reform different
paradigms in society, such as population aging.
According to the (World Health Organization [WHO],
2018) between 2000 and 2050, the 60-year-old
population sector will double from 605 million to 2
billion over the course of the half century. The
increase in this sector refers to providing financial
support to these vulnerable people. This research
addressed one of the social problems with the greatest
emphasis on the city of Chilpancingo de los Bravo,
Guerrero. On the quality of life of older adults;
analyzing the coverage of the Pension Guerrero social
assistance program, pointing to the basic needs they
manage to obtain with such financial support. The
methodology consisted of surveying 311 adults over
the age of 65 to 68. The data was processed and finally
analyzed and described the results obtained on that
program. It is important to analyze the impact this
programme has on the scope of financial support in the
study area, identifying alternatives that serve as the
basis for improving the quality of life of older adults
