Patrimonio tradicional de las plantas medicinales de los Me’ Phaa de Totomixtlahuaca Mpio de Tlacoapa, Guerrero.
Abstract
Introduction: Medicinal plants indicate the
relationship with nature, this knowledge is possessed
by ethnic groups; In Mexico there are 56 ethnic
groups and in the state of Guerrero there are four
(Nahuas, Mixtecos, Tlapanecos and Amuzgos). The
Methodology, consisted of a survey of 30 people,
whose age ranged from 30 to 68 years (6 men and 24
women), to know uses, parts used and ways of using
the plants, were collected, proceeded with
herbalization, pressing and identification Results:
The total number of plants is 62 included in 38
families, the morphology of growth are vines, herbs,
shrubs and trees. The uses are, medicinal 62 species,
cultural and / or ceremonial 18 species, living fences
16 species, edible, construction, forage, fuel,
ornamental and timber with 6 species respectively.
63% wild and 37% cultivated species are classified.
The largest number of species were found in the rainy
season with 55, available all year 26 and during the
dry season. The Asteraceae family is the best
represented. The used parts of the plants are 13,
leaves, flower, bark, stem, root, seed, the whole plant,
latex and the complete branch, shoot and fruit, resin
and sap, considered as a tool to treat 73 diseases.
